The Métis are groups of people who trace their descents to First Nations peoples and European settlers originating in Canada. They are recognized as one of Canada’s aboriginal peoples under the Constitution Act of 1982, along with First Nations and Inuit peoples. The Métis in the United States are people descended from joint Native Americans and white parents. Their religion is considered Christian.

We have created this new website to provide you the opportunity to learn more about our people.  It is our goal to grow the content both with history and contemporary activities.
